Vitis (grape plant)
The Vitis Vinifera is family of the Vitaceae.
The Vitis requires a sheltered and warm place in the garden, preferably a wall on the south. (Sun / partial shade). The soil must be calcareous and clay-like. You can fertilize in March or April.
The plant is hardy but loses its leaves in the winter. With the fruit (grape) you can make grape juice, wine, raisins, grape seed oil and just consume fresh.
There are many varieties with both white (yellow-green) and blue grapes.
The best results for sweet grapes should be grown in greenhouse (greenhouse) as with the blue 'Frankenthaler'.
