The cycas also called palm ferns grows very well in our climate, despite the fact that the cycas is a slow grower. The maximum height that the Cycas can reach is 3 meters. However, this takes a very long time, up to 100 years and so the palm will probably survive. The cycas can be on the terrace from mid-May to October. In winter, the cycas will have to be in a frost-free place despite its winter hardiness. However, the cycas may also be stored in the home or at the office in the winter as a precaution.
You should do the wintering of large plants in an unheated garage or under a shelter. Possibly you can wrap the pot with insulation material.
The Cycas Revoluta is originally from Japan and is related to the Cycadaceae. The Cycas is a very old variety and can also last at home with you for a lifetime, provided you take care of this plant!
The plant makes long leaves that unroll like "ferns". The cycas prefers a large tub so that it can make roots well.
Do not touch the leaves of the cycas with their hands too much, otherwise they will turn brown.
