The Chamaerops humilis is native to Europe. This palm is not very large compared to other palms. The Dutch name is therefore logical chamaerops or Dwarf Fan Palm. Loved by its hardiness and tolerance of direct sunlight.
The Chamaerops humilis should not remain dry. Especially on warm days the soil when the plant is outside in a large pot. Give the plant for example once every five days water in the summer and once a week in winter.
For inside: The amount of water depends on, among other things, the size of the palm, and the size of the plant container. Therefore, start with small amounts of water per watering. The ground is still very wet, reduce the amount of watering after four days.
The Chamaerops humilis needs at least five hours of direct sunlight. When Chamaerops humilis is moved outward, past the palm in what was more of the window, it is necessary to accustom gradually to direct sunlight. When the palm is no habituation in direct sunlight stand can burn the leaves. But no worries, the palm will quickly create new blade which is highly resistant to direct sunlight.
